Project Overview
AIMS (Advanced Insurance Management Suite) is a mission-critical life insurance operations platform engineered for Protective Islami Life Insurance Limited. It digitizes end-to-end policy lifecycles, claims settlement, underwriting records, and executive analytical reporting.
Architecture & Role: Designed and developed as Lead Solution Engineer, implementing a decoupled architecture featuring a high-performance Next.js/React frontend communicating via authenticated REST APIs with a robust Laravel service layer and relational database core.
Key Accomplishments & Architecture Highlights
- Business Problem: Replaced fragmented manual documentation and dispersed underwriting records with a centralized, auditable insurance management system.
- Policy Lifecycle Engine: Complete lifecycle management supporting proposal review, policy issuance, endorsement, premium renewal schedules, and surrender calculations.
- Automated Claims Workflow: Multi-stage state machine (Submitted → Underwriting Review → Actuarial Verification → Approved/Disbursed) with full ledger audit trails.
- Unified Policyholder Database: Centralized KYC management for individual policyholders (NID/DOB verification) and corporate group insurance accounts.
- Executive KPI Analytics: Real-time operational panels tracking active portfolio volume, pending claims queues, renewal collection ratios, and revenue breakdowns.
- Business Impact: Accelerated policy issuance turnaround, reduced manual underwriting errors, and provided executive leadership with real-time operational visibility.
